Studio Z was born in my hometown of Hamburg—out of a desire to create products that are unique and handcrafted with care. Each piece reflects my passion for aesthetics and interior design.

The “Z” in Studio Z stands for my last name, my roots, and the family I hold dear. It also symbolizes contentment and timelessness—values I infuse into my products as a conscious counterpoint to fast fashion and fleeting trends.

At the same time, the “Z” carries the idea of “ignition”: every candle kindles a special moment—and that is exactly what I want Studio Z to do again and again. To ignite new ideas, projects, and inspirations that I passionately bring to life.

As a native Northerner, I live and work with dedication, joy, and a good dose of humor, nestled between Hamburg’s Alster canals and Jugendstil architecture. Every candle is carefully handcrafted with love at every stage of production.

My relentless drive is to bring aesthetics and beauty into my surroundings and to the people who appreciate and notice them as much as I do. My candles carry Danish-inspired names—a quiet homage to a country whose calm, closeness to nature, and design clarity continue to influence me deeply.

As the host of my DIY workshops, I cherish meeting a diverse range of people who connect through the shared creative process—where, alongside beautiful candles, genuine bonds are formed.

I consciously choose high-quality, sustainable ingredients and avoid plastic wherever possible. Some details can’t yet be completely plastic-free, but my standard remains firm: for a meaningful tomorrow.
